7 Quick and Easy Halloween Makes

Halloween is just around the corner, and for those of us not sewing Halloween costumes, now is a good time to add a Halloween quilt or two to the decor.

I had a little browse around the internet to see what patterns are out this year, so here's a roundup of 7 fun spooky quilted projects.

Quilted Witch's Hat

This quilted witch's hat has been a trending pattern ever since it came out a few years ago, and I love that it comes with a few options, like quilted or unquilted, and pieced or single fabric.

Spider Web Table Topper

This fun Spider web table topper looks like it can be made in an afternoon, and can be dressed up more or less spooky depending on how many spiders you want to add to the centerpiece.

Boo Table Runner

I love the scrappy background to these cute little ghosts. By the looks of it, it can be done with a jelly roll or just the scraps you already have at home.

Ghostly Hot Pads

These little Ghostly Hot Pads are just the cutest! A quick project (I'm thinking Sunday sewing) and would even make a super cute hostess gift if you get invited to a Halloween party.

Ghostly Greetings Table Runner

Of course I'll have to put my own Ghostly Greetings table runner into the roundup. This easy pattern can be made horizontal as a table runner, or vertical as a wall hanging. Which would be perfect to hang beside the door on Halloween night to greet trick-or-treaters.

Witch Hat Quilt Block

Make a Trick-or-Treat bag or add it to a Halloween quilt. This traditionally pieced Witch Hat quilt block would be such a cute addition to many seasonal projects.

Halloween Trick-or-Treat bag tutorial

And speaking of Trick-or-Treat bags, here's a great free tutorial for one, using a quilt block as the side panel. Of course you can use the cute ghost or pumpkin shown on the sample, or add any of your own quilt blocks.
